Mashhura Nurilloeva

Research Technician

Mashhura is a lab manager and research technician in the Arifuzzaman Lab at Weill Cornell Medicine. Originally from Uzbekistan, she grew up in Brooklyn, NY, a place she has grown very fond of. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Biochemistry from CUNY Hunter College. Before joining the Arifuzzaman Lab, she worked on restoring the functions of missense-mutated Von Hippel-Lindau and p53 tumor suppressor proteins implicated in various cancers. Now, she is interested in immunology and exploring the translational applications of microbiome bench research. Outside the lab, Mashhura enjoys arts and crafts such as pottery making, candle making, and painting mugs. She also has a passion for sportier activities, including rock climbing and weightlifting.
